The NIX App is a web-based dashboard for configuring your NIX Labs clock. It communicates directly via WebUSB in your browser.
How to Connect
Section titled “How to Connect”- Requirements: Use a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera) and a data-capable USB cable.
- Power & Connect: Plug the powered clock into your computer.
- Pair: Open the NIX App, click Connect USB (top right), and select your device.
Navigating the App
Section titled “Navigating the App”The single-page interface consists of:
- Connection Bar (Top): Shows status and connection options.
- Settings Cards (Center): Expandable sections for device configurations.
- Apply Bar (Bottom): Appears when changes are pending.
Saving Changes
Section titled “Saving Changes”Edits are temporary until applied. Click Apply Changes in the bottom bar to save to the clock, or Discard to revert.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Browser Not Supported Error
Section titled “Browser Not Supported Error”If you see an unsupported browser banner, you are likely using Safari or Firefox. You must use a Chromium-based browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Opera) which supports WebUSB.
Device Not Found
Section titled “Device Not Found”If your clock does not appear in the connection list:
- Check the Cable: Ensure you are using a data-capable USB cable. Many standard cables only supply power (charging) and cannot transfer configuration data.
- Try Another Port: Plug directly into your computer rather than a USB hub.
- Check Access: Ensure no other application is actively using the clock's USB interface.
