Support & Warranty

If you're having trouble with your NIX labs AL60, we're here to help. Before contacting support, please check the common troubleshooting steps below.

Some common issues and their solutions include:

If the time appears incorrect or hasn't updated for Daylight Saving: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons simultaneously for three seconds. This will restart the clock and force a manual time update from the SNTP servers.

  1. Check that the USB-C cable is firmly seated in the back of the clock and the power adaptor.
  2. Ensure you are using the provided power adaptor. The AL60 requires a high-quality 5V/3A supply for stable operation at full brightness.
  3. Try a different power outlet or USB-C cable to rule out a cable fault.

If the clock is not connecting to your network:

  1. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (the AL60 does not support 5GHz-only networks).
  2. Re-configure your Wi-Fi settings using the Wi-Fi Setup tool.

If your AL60 is displaying inaccurate temperature and/or humidity values, try the following:

  1. Allow the clock to operate in the desired position for 6-12 hours. This allows the internal temperature of the clock to stabilise.
  2. Calibrate the temperature by adjusting the temperature offset value in the web interface. You can use a known accurate thermometer to verify. This setting will also adjust the relative humidity inline with the adjusted offset.
  3. If the humidity value remains inaccurate after calibrating the temperature then you can separately adjust the humidity offset value.

If your device become dusty, unplug it and wipe with a clean, lightly dampened cloth. Do not use solvents on the case as they may damage the finish. Never insert metallic objects into the gaps in the enclosure, as this could damage the electronics inside. There are no single-use fuses on the circuit board, nor any batteries. Apart from general cleaning, no maintenance or periodic servicing is required.

All NIX labs products come with a three-year back-to-base warranty, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other relevant local regulations. We also offer repair and refurbishment services for products outside of the warranty period.

A "back-to-base" warranty means the customer arranges and pays for shipment to NIX labs. If the warranty claim is found to be valid, NIX labs will cover the cost of the return shipment to the customer. We recommend keeping the original product packaging for safe transport should you ever need to send it back.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three years from the date of purchase. During this period, NIX labs will, at its sole discretion, replace or repair any defective product returned to us. This warranty excludes products for which NIX labs has not received full payment.

This warranty does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Abuse, accidents, or misuse.
  • Problems with external electrical power or incorrect power supplies.
  • Use not in accordance with the instruction manual.
  • Commercial use or use in harsh environments (e.g., moving vehicles, wet/moist areas, or locations with elevated levels of sulphur, chlorine, or other corrosive gases).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed. NIX labs does not accept liability for incidental or consequential damages, or for any third-party claims for damages caused by the use of the product. Continued use of the product constitutes agreement to the terms of service available at nixlabs.com.au/terms-of-service.
