Firmware Update Tool

Use this tool to install the latest firmware to your clock or to change Wi-Fi details. This tool can also be used to visit the clock’s web interface, add the clock to Home Assistant, and view troubleshooting logs.

Install latest firmware

1. Connect your clock to this device with a good quality USB cable

2. Click the Connect button below and select your clock in the popup

   USB JTAG/serial debug unit (DeviceID)

   Tip

   If you don’t see your clock in the list press and hold the middle button (MIN) while connecting the USB cable - this puts the ESP32 into boot mode. To cancel and return to normal, unplug and replug your clock.

3. Click Install NIX labs AL60

   The latest firmware will be installed on your clock. After a successful update, you will be given the opportunity to configure your Wi-Fi network and continue setup.

Change Device Wi-Fi

1. Connect your clock to this device with a good quality USB cable

2. Click the Connect button below and select your clock in the popup

   USB JTAG/serial debug unit (DeviceID)

3. Click Change Wi-Fi

4. Select the desired network and enter your Wi-Fi password then click continue

   Your clock will be connected to Wi-Fi and you will have the option to visit the web interface or connect your clock to Home Assistant.

Caution

Installing firmware using this tool will erase all settings, including your Wi-Fi details. Installing updates using the OTA update feature is recommended.
