AL60 Overview

Thank you for purchasing a NIX Labs AL60 Clock. The AL60 is a modern, analog-style LED clock that combines precision timekeeping with vibrant RGB effects and environmental sensing.

This documentation will help you get started and serves as your comprehensive guide to the features, configuration, and integration options for your AL60.

The NIX labs AL60 features two high-density LED rings (Outer: 60 LEDs, Inner: 48 LEDs) that use 108 individually addressable RGB LEDs to simulate the hands of a traditional analog clock.

This unique design allows for smooth, fluid motion and a wide range of customisable visual effects, from subtle monochromatic themes to vibrant rainbows.

  • Precision Timekeeping: Calibrated and temperature-compensated time with accuracy around 1 minute per year.
  • Vibrant RGB Rings: 108 addressable LEDs with customisable colors for hours, minutes, and seconds.
  • Environmental Sensors: Built-in temperature and humidity sensors with visual "sensory effects" on the clock face.
  • Smart Motion Sensing: Optional radar-based presence detection to automatically dim or brighten the clock when you enter the room.
  • Ambient Light Sensing: Automatic brightness adjustment based on room lighting conditions.
  • Versatile Controls: Easy configuration via the built-in web interface or physical buttons.
  • Home Integration: Built-in support for Home Assistant via ESPHome.
  • Convenient Features: Integrated alarm, timer, and stopwatch functions with audible alerts.
